Short of diving in the lake, here’s a surefire way to bring your body temperature down, down, down:

 Put cold on your pulse points.

 The pulse points are the areas of your body where your blood vessels are close to the surface—

  • Back of the neck
  • Base of temples, in front of ears 
  • Ankles and tops of feet
  • Insides of elbows and wrists
  • Behind the knees

Pick a point or two and wrap them with a cold washcloth.  Or stick them under cool, running water.
